40+ Years Of Empowering Ability, Championing Inclusion

Join Cahoots in Building an Inclusive Future for Young People with Disabilities.

At Cahoots, every child and young person deserves the chance to thrive, connect, and grow, no matter their circumstances. Our mission is simple: to create inclusive opportunities for children and young people living with disabilities or facing exceptional challenges. Through our tailored programs, we empower families and communities to support young people in living their best lives.

Our Story: Why Cahoots Exists

Cahoots was founded in 1980 with a simple but powerful belief: that every child and young person deserves a chance to belong. What began as a small group of passionate volunteers has grown into a trusted organisation supporting hundreds of families across Western Australia. We exist because too many young people with disabilities or exceptional challenges are left without access to safe, inclusive, and enriching activities. Our programs are designed to bridge that gap, giving participants a place to build friendships, learn new skills, gain confidence, and simply have fun in an environment that truly understands and supports their individual needs.

Joining Cahoots is easy. If you or someone you know could benefit from our programs, we welcome you to get in touch. Whether you’re looking for a one-off holiday camp or ongoing support, our team is here to guide you through the process and help you find the right fit. Many of our services are eligible for NDIS funding, and we offer tailored support to suit a wide range of needs.

What Cahoots Offers

Cahoots runs a range of programs and services for young people aged 5–18+ who live with disabilities or other exceptional challenges. These include:

  • School Holiday Overnight Supports
  • Weekend Overnight Supports
  • After-School Programs
  • Ed Support School Services
  • 1:1 Support

Our trained team works closely with families to ensure that every young person is cared for, included, and given opportunities to explore, grow, and have fun in a safe environment.

How You Can Help

You don’t have to be a participant to make a difference. Here’s how you can get involved:

  • Volunteer your time at a camp or program
  • Donate to support families who can’t afford access
  • Share our message on social media to raise awareness
  • Partner with us as a business or community organisation

Let’s Make a Difference—Together

At Cahoots, we’re proud to walk beside young people and families every step of the way. This Awareness Campaign is just the beginning. With your support, we can create a stronger, more inclusive community—one where every young person feels they belong.

Help us, help others

No matter how small, your contribution goes towards helping Cahoots lower the costs for families using our services. Whilst we are NDIS funded, there is often a shortfall between the funding and the cost of our activities, so your donations mean families can still send their loved ones to our camps and programs.

For many, Cahoots is a life changing experience for both the participants who grow, learn and enjoy themselves, but it also provides respite to parents and families from the demands of full time care. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
