5 Ways to Spread Love in Our Community this EOFY

1. Smile Often

When you smile, it makes you feel carefree, brings you to a happier mood. And your smile is a message to those around you that you are accepted, welcome, and needed. Who doesn’t want to be treated friendly? The golden rule is treating others the way you want to be treated. Smile often, feel its power.

2. Help Out Where You Can

Helping others isn’t difficult. It can include giving time, care, skills, thought or attention. A single kind word can help people believe in themselves and overcome difficulties.
Scientific studies show that helping others boosts happiness. It increases life satisfaction, provides a sense of meaning. Helping other can simultaneously help ourselves to take our minds off our own troubles. Help others, make you better.

3. Support the Op Shop

Donate your items that you have no use for. Your donations will help someone afford something they never thought they would be able to own. Let your idle items bring value to others by donating to the op shop.

4. Donate Blood

Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person — the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save three lives. The blood you donate can be made into 22 different medical treatments. Let’s be a blood donor. It only takes an hour to give blood, but it could change someone’s life.
Check your eligibility to donate with Australian Red Cross Lifeblood here.

5. Donate to Cahoots

Help us, help others

No matter how small, your contribution goes towards helping Cahoots lower the costs for families using our services. Whilst we are NDIS funded, there is often a shortfall between the funding and the cost of our activities, so your donations mean families can still send their loved ones to our camps and programs.

For many, Cahoots is a life changing experience for both the participants who grow, learn and enjoy themselves, but it also provides respite to parents and families from the demands of full time care. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
