Cahoots Adventure Camp
Located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley, just 30 minutes from the City, Cahoots Adventure Camp has long been one of WA’s best School Camp, Youth Camp Retreat and Team Building venues.
Cahoots acquired Cahoots Adventure Camp in January of 2022, and has since operated this facility as a for-purpose social enterprise, which will allow service growth, and the ability to cater to more young people and their families, in an impactful way.
Facilities
Accommodation
Built in the late 1970’s, Cahoots Adventure Camp was pioneered by Graeme Smit, hosting its first camp in 1981. Today our Team is working hard to see each building restored and each activity developed to make it one of Perth’s favourite camp destinations.
Set amongst beautiful flora and truly stunning native trees, accommodation options are available to sleep up to 130 people.
Activities
At Cahoots Adventure Camp we offer a wide range of activities that will provide endless fun and bring out your campers adventurous side! Pretend to be Robin Hood for a day with our archery program or take it off the floor with our low ropes course and rock climbing wall. Enjoy some ‘friendly’ competition on the disc golf course or perhaps battle it out in the colour wars!

Duke of Edinburgh Award with Cahoots Adventure Camp
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (often called the Duke of Ed or DofE) is a personal development program for young people, designed to help them build confidence, independence, and life skills outside the classroom.
The Duke of Ed is a voluntary, non-competitive award for young people aged 14 to 24, with three levels:
-
Bronze (from age 14)
-
Silver (from age 15)
-
Gold (from age 16)
Participants complete activities in four key areas (plus a fifth at Gold):
- Voluntary Service – Helping others and giving back to the community
- Physical Recreation – Getting active and improving health
- Skills – Learning a new skill or developing an interest
- Adventurous Journey – A team hike or expedition in nature
- Residential Project (Gold only) – A stay-away experience with new people
The Duke of Ed helps young people grow into capable, confident adults by challenging them to step outside their comfort zone, develop new skills, and make a difference, all while having fun.
Empowerability
We are excited to be working with The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award to offer an initiative called EmpowerAbility.
Our focus will be to work with education support schools, programs and centres, ensuring that the Duke of Ed is accessible and achievable for everyone of all abilities.
Part of this partnership will include offering camps that are specific to the needs of Education Support Schools. Please find the camp dates below:
If you’re a part of an education support centre and want to know more please get in contact.
As a participant, you can either sign up for the full service which includes Cahoots as your Duke of Ed Centre from set up to completion, or if you already belong to a Duke of Ed Centre, we can provide you with the opportunity to take part in our Adventurous Journeys in WA!
Once you’ve registered with us, we’ll be in touch to help you set up your account and to assist you in deciding what to do with your Duke of Ed Framework. From helping you choose your physical, skill and volunteer services, to helping you connect to opportunities that further you through your Duke of Ed Level.
School Holiday High Ropes
Come and experience the native Australian bush like never before as you climb, weave and fly through the tree tops on our Climb Zone High Ropes Course, located at Cahoots Adventure Camp, Bullsbrook. Experience the thrill and freedom of defying gravity on our elevated tightropes, cargo nets, bridges and rope ladders, before soaring to the ground on the 30-meter flying fox.
Bring a bestie, arrange a group of friends, come along as a family, or simply sit back and watch the fun! You are encouraged to bring your own food and drinks as there are no food or beverage vendors on-site.
In operation for over a decade, this is one of the most iconic attractions in Perth’s northern suburbs. Now you can now enjoy one of WA’s best ropes courses as you maneuver through complex elements high up amongst spectacular Australian native trees.
Two-hour sessions available on these select days and times during the upcoming school holidays.
