Climb With Cahoots at the Telethon Family Festival

Visit Cahoots on Telethon Weekend.

The countdown to one of Perth’s most exciting and heartwarming events has officially started! On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the Telethon Family Festival presented by Coles will be taking over RAC Arena and spilling into the streets of Perth for a day packed with fun, entertainment, and community spirit—all for a wonderful cause!

This year, Cahoots is thrilled to announce that we are back for another year of action with an activity that will have your heart racing: our very own climbing wall!

What’s Happening at the Festival?

This family-friendly festival is one of the highlights of the Telethon weekend, bringing together thousands of people to celebrate, laugh, and support Western Australian children and families in need. Whether you’ve attended before or this will be your first time, there’s so much to look forward to:

  • FREE entry (yes, you read that right!) to the festival, which means you can enjoy a full day of carnival rides, live music, and activities for all ages.
  • The streets around RAC Arena and Yagan Square will be filled with vibrant performers, entertainers, and delicious food trucks ready to serve up treats.
  • Live performances will light up the stage throughout the day, showcasing incredible local talent that will keep you dancing, singing, and cheering.

The Cahoots Climbing Wall

We’re super excited to invite you to try our Cahoots climbing wall—a challenge for kids wanting a thrill at the festival! You can find us right down the South-East side of Wellington Street, just look for the giant climbing wall and the big, purple Cahoots flag, you can’t miss us!

Whether you’re an experienced climber or a beginner, this fun activity will let you scale new heights while getting an incredible view of all the festivities. The climbing wall is designed with safety in mind, so everyone can feel confident and secure as they climb.

But it’s not just about the fun! At Cahoots, we’re passionate about creating inclusive opportunities for children and young people living with disabilities, as well as those who may be facing unique challenges. The climbing wall is a perfect way to showcase the power of outdoor activities, teamwork, and confidence-building—values that are central to our mission.

By visiting our climbing wall, you’ll also have the chance to learn more about the incredible work Cahoots is doing in the community. We’ll be there to chat with you, share our stories, and invite you to be a part of the positive change we’re making every day.

The APM Charity Trail

Don’t miss the APM Charity Trail, where you can explore the work of different Telethon-supported charities, including us! It’s a fantastic opportunity to engage with the causes that matter to Western Australia and see how your support is making a real difference. Every step you take on the trail helps raise awareness and contributes to the wellbeing of those in need.

Why You Shouldn’t Miss It

This is more than just a festival—it’s a chance to make lasting memories with your family and friends while contributing to an incredible cause. The Telethon Family Festival is all about coming together to support WA’s children and families, and Cahoots is proud to play a part in this amazing event.

So, mark your calendars for October 20, gather your crew, and get ready for a day filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit. And don’t forget to swing by the Cahoots climbing wall to give it a go—we can’t wait to see you at the top!

Let’s climb together, support each other, and make a difference—one step at a time. See you at the festival!

Help us, help others

No matter how small, your contribution goes towards helping Cahoots lower the costs for families using our services. Whilst we are NDIS funded, there is often a shortfall between the funding and the cost of our activities, so your donations mean families can still send their loved ones to our camps and programs.

For many, Cahoots is a life changing experience for both the participants who grow, learn and enjoy themselves, but it also provides respite to parents and families from the demands of full time care. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
