Collective Connections: Building Friendships, Creativity, and Community

Becoming a Part of Cahoots

In a world where genuine social connections can feel harder to find, Collective Connections in WA’s Southwest offers a refreshing solution. This weekly social and recreational group brings adults who live with disability together in a supportive, welcoming environment to share experiences, build friendships, and enjoy creative activities. It’s more than just a program, it’s a community where belonging and fun go hand in hand.

What is Collective Connections?
Collective Connections is a weekly facilitated social and recreational group in Bunbury designed for adults to come together in a supportive environment. It’s all about building friendships, boosting confidence, and engaging in creative and community-based activities. Whether you love art, games, or simply connecting with others, this group offers a safe and welcoming space to belong.

Collective Connections creates a safe space for people to connect, make friends, and feel part of something bigger. Each session is filled with creative and community-based activities that encourage confidence, self-expression, and joy. With experienced facilitators guiding the group, participants can relax knowing they’re supported while engaging in meaningful experiences that foster social inclusion and wellbeing.

What’s Changing in 2026?

Up until now, Collective Connections has been volunteer-run. Starting January 2026, it becomes part of Cahoots’ services: a trusted NDIS Registered Provider with over 40 years of experience delivering community-based supports in WA. This change ensures the program’s long-term sustainability and opens up new opportunities for participants to join.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • There is no more $5 cash fee: Sessions will now be funded through a participants NDIS plan or paid personally.
  • Enrolment required: Complete a service intake appointment before attending in 2026.
  • Same great sessions: The days, times, and friendly facilitators (Lisa, Dale, Stan, and volunteers) all remain the same.
  • NDIS or self-funded: If you don’t have an NDIS plan, Cahoots can help you explore alternative options.

Why Cahoots?

Cahoots is a well-established organisation that provides social and recreational supports for kids, teens, and adults across WA. Help us, help others

No matter how small, your contribution goes towards helping Cahoots lower the costs for families using our services. Whilst we are NDIS funded, there is often a shortfall between the funding and the cost of our activities, so your donations mean families can still send their loved ones to our camps and programs.

For many, Cahoots is a life changing experience for both the participants who grow, learn and enjoy themselves, but it also provides respite to parents and families from the demands of full time care. Anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
